About Us

GNT (Greater New Testament)

GNT (Greater New Testament) was founded in 1957. Rev. Rubie Saulsberry became pastor in 1961. He established GNT as one of the friendliest and respected churches in the Morgan Park area by our works and worship! Pastor Rubie Saulsberry pastored for 40 years and retired from pastoring in 2001 but not preaching. Pastor E. we lovingly called him when he became Pastor Emeritus, preached and served until he went to be with the Lord in 2004. Pastor Rubie Saulsberry left a lasting enduring legacy being a great man of character and grace who stayed true to the gospel message that he continued to have a passion for until the end! In 2001 Rev. Alfred Saulsberry became pastor of GNT. Pastor Alfred Saulsberry continue to build on the gospel legacy that was laid by Pastor E. Moreover we implemented a Purpose Driven vision and have created more ministries to minister to the body of Christ. Also during the pandemic we were given a more concise vision for the times we are living today. GNT’s vision is a Tri-Purpose Live/Give/Share.

We are excited to implement this vision as we move forward. You have been born for the purpose of knowing God and doing good works that bring glory to the God of all grace truth! GNT invites you to the greatest adventure of a lifetime! Pastor Al & Michelle have been married for 35 years with 3 children.
